As a mother, friend and business leader I am an advocate for women in their personal and professional lives. Women are finding their voices, yet so much more needs to be done in every facet of our daily experiences.
I have a thorough understanding of complex and dynamic relationships because of the environments where I worked on organizational development initiatives. I have developed comprehensive strategies, coached and counseled leaders, built successful teams and alliances, and executed many plans to create opportunities.
About Me
Personally
My joy is my family and it’s my privilege to be raising such strong and beautiful women. I have learned so much being a mother to these three who remind me that they are unique individuals and have different needs of me.
As mother-daughter we’ve experienced many paths together and I’m excited to see what the universe holds for the next chapters in their lives as adult women with a voice.
As an adoptee, reuniting with my family through joining DNA Detectives and Ancestry DNA© I now have a much better understanding of my universe.
In learning our ancestors we gain an understanding of the challenges they faced, and it often inspires greater love and compassion for their journey. This compassion can easily translate to our relationships with the living, within our families and outside them.
Professionally
For the last 20 years I have worked with governments, higher education, and in the private sector focusing on the areas of organizational development, employee-employer relations, job studies and compensation, recruitment and selection, workforce planning and staff development.
My Bachelors of Science degree is in Public Administration, and I have been a certified Professional in Human Resources Management (SHRM) since 2001 through both the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) and the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM).
My Passions
The journey of self–improvement is an ongoing process of evaluation and constant learning. Growing as a person improves your self-awareness and boosts your confidence. I’ve been on this journey to heal over the past 15 years to accept my self-worth and stop seeking validation in the outside world. I hope you’ll join me on this path.
Women go further when they have a tribe of women. Imagine for a moment what it would be like to have a tribe of women behind you, fully supporting and believing in you. … Women coming together to support one another empowers you to create a life you love and to enjoy the life you are living. I love my tribe of women.
As women, we need to talk to and support each other when it comes to savings and finance. Financial health and planning for my retirement has been my passion. How you handle money and invest in your future is key.
